New Facebook Group: “College Success-Physical Disabilities, Chronic & Mental Health”

Accessible College has joined forces with Lighthouse Guidance and Ed Redefined to bring you the “College Success: Physical Disabilities, Chronic Health & Mental Health” Facebook Group

This group is designed to be a resource for:

  • Students with physical disabilities, chronic health conditions, and mental health issues
  • Families 
  • Professional members such as: educators, consultants, and healthcare professionals who are working to support students in:
    • Navigating the college process
    • Requesting and utilizing accommodations
    • Ensuring ongoing support for college success

Examples of Mental Health Conditions:
Bipolar, generalized anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, depression.

Examples of Chronic Health Conditions:
Crohn’s disease, seizure disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, ehlers-danlos syndrome, eating disorders, POTS, auto-immune diseases, drug and alcohol addiction, etc.

Examples of Physical Disabilities
Spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, para/quadriplegia, etc.
