2020 In Review

2020 was a great year for Accessible College! Here are some of the highlights:
- Established a partnership with The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Together we:
- Published a transition guide for students with paralysis.
- Continue to offer FREE consultations for students with paralysis.
- Supported several students with physical disabilities and/or health conditions in their college search, preparation, and transition process to colleges across the country, including: Barnard College, Oberlin College, Georgetown University, University of Delaware, The College of New Jersey, Loyola University-Chicago, and Georgia Tech.
- Supported rising high school juniors and seniors, and current college students from across the country in learning self advocacy skills, honing their executive function skills, establishing processes for independent medication and health care management, and more!
- Worked with The College Diabetes Network on the CDN REACH™ project to assist campus professionals in better serving and supporting students with chronic illness and invisible disabilities.
- Launched the new Accessible College Website and College Access Pass-monthly membership in order to better serve and support students in their transition.
- Participated in numerous webinars and virtual roundtables with groups and organizations such as: Applerouth, Lighthouse Guidance, Beyond Booksmart, The Reeve Foundation, Special Needs Navigator, United Spinal Association/New Mobility Magazine, River Oaks Psychology, Happy on Wheels, and many more!
