Luna Fera: A Journey to College
Anne Tulkin | Posted on |
Annie Tulkin chats with her former client, Luna Fera, a first year student at the University of Oregon (UO). Luna received the Neilsen Foundation scholarship to support her education at UO. Annie and Luna had been working together for nearly two years prior to Luna heading to college. They discussed Luna’s college search process and the considerations she factored into her search related to being a wheelchair user. Luna shared that she really benefitted from working with Annie to support her in thinking through her needs and identifying specific questions for the disability support offices at the colleges that she was interested in. Luna also reflected on her transition to UO and how support from Annie assisted her in having a smooth transition to college.
